The chicken club sandwich was to die for! One of the best chicken sandwiches I've had! I love how they make all the meat to order. On almost everything you can choose from grilled, blackened, or fried. My husband got the blackened catfish and was very impressed with it as well. One of the women in our group could not have dairy or soy and the waitress was wonderful and worked to put together something that was safe for her to eat. Highly recommended!

Love!!! Had grouper... delish! Amazing fried mushros! Fried pickles were great too. Taylor was our server and she was the sweetest - great service. Not the nicest atmosphere, but clean ( it's an old captain Ds we think). Pretty darn good hamburgers too. Price is right! ! Delicious food! We will definitely go back the next time we visit Gulf Shores. :)

Everything we had was cooked just right. We all loved the option for blackened choices being we have had too much fried food on our road trip. Real relaxing and laid back porch to hang out during and after your meal and the server was the friendliest lady. The owner had stopped in and checked with every table to verify their satisfaction with their meal. We will put this place on our recommendations for friends heading to gulf shores.

Went back twice because the servers are good, the food is great and the wait is reasonable. Really liked the chicken wings. Easy to get to by car on the gulf parkway,

We ordered take out at 830 on a Sunday night. They close at 9 but people were still coming in and live music was outside. They let us use a coupon for a free chef choice app which was nice as it was takeout. The menu lists baskets which I assumes were fried but when . I asked they said they do fried grilled and blackened. We ordered mahi mahi and grilled shrimp baskets blackened. The shrimp were generous and reasonable sized while the mahi mahi was really thin. Both were a little dry and the seasoning obscured much of the taste. Next time I would try grilled and maybe ask for a sprinkle of that seasoning. The side new potato was one medium sized boiled potato. Hush puppies (2 per meal) were small and not moist either. Onion rings were good and the baked potato salad was the best of the meal - it was very good! I think this may be the type place that the music and atmosphere (and beer) up the rating. For $16 the dinners just didn't quite make the grade. Staff was friendly, we had no wait, but I can't justify 4 stars. A solid 3.5 maybe.

Alabama Dept of Health rating 95. (Very important) Fried mushroom appetizer is great - breading is light and tasty. The ranch dressing that came with it was subtle, tasty but did not overwhelm the shrooms. The Monster Burger was something to write home about - very good beef. Fries are crinkle cut (not a fav) but the frying grease was very fresh, hence very tasty. My significant other had the garden salad (large! ) with shrimp. A great choice made even better with the Apple Cider Vinaigrette dressing suggested by server Cathy who was great as well. No hesitation about recommending this one. Beach/pub atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating.

Returned after good experience last year and we were not disappointed. Food is great and prices are best around. Cold Draft beer and excellent wings.

My favorite restaurant in Gulf Shores! We ate there three times this trip and each visit was great. They serve the best fish tacos I've ever tasted and made special off-menu shrimp tacos just for me; a little bit of heaven in every bite. Husband loved the bacon cheeseburger. As appetizers we also enjoyed the cheese sticks and loaded fries. Friendly staff too, just a great casual place to eat. Can't wait to go back!

Party of 8 for lunch. Every place we looked had a wait, so we wound up here. And we are so glad we did!! The red snapper special was delicious. Wishing the shrimp po' boy had a mayo dressing on it. The burgers were amazing. Fries were disappointing, so order the most delicious baked potato salad instead- unbelievable!!! Plenty of beers on tap. Great service!! Wish we were going to be here another day because I would come back again tomorrow.

The sign says best burger in town and they held true to their word. Absolutely the best burger anywhere. Great service and friendly atmosphere. Appetizers are amazing. The hush puppies are the best we have ever had. This will be a staple for our family every time we come to gulf shores.

After scrolling through reviews for the many restaurants located in or near Gulf Shores, we decided to give Goo Roos a try and ended up agreeing it would be worthy of a return visit--just for the hush puppies alone. The food was reasonably priced and good, the portions generous, and the beer was cheap. Oh, and did I mention how good the hush puppies are?

Our family spent a week in gulf shores on vacation and we ate here twice. Had we stayed longer we would have gone back for a third time! Great service, very friendly staff, family oriented, and great food! The onion rings were our favorite!! Good burgers and good shrimp. What more do you need?? Well defiantly be back next summer!!

Loved this restaurant! Really great after an afternoon at the beach. I had the oyster and fish platter, two of my group had burgers (Goo-roo, and Monster Goo-roo) and the rest had the Po' boys (2 shrimp and one oyster). It was a hit with everyone! We also had the fried pickles appetizer and homemade ranch. Wonderful! I would take a picture but I waited too late. All you would see is empty plates. My son says the "loaded baked potato salad is FIRE."

A pleasant restaurant that offers mediocre fried, grilled and blackened sea food and burgers. Actually they have other entrees but the seafood is their headliner. Ordered the oysters and fish basket, tasty but not exceptional. My wife ordered the shrimp basket - grilled. When it arrived the waitress told her that it wasn't "blackened " as it appeared buy really grilled. Tasted blackened to me. The shrimp came with a cook's hair in it ( no charge). When we told the waitress she responded with a grunt and moved on. We finished the meal (1 margarita, 1 beer, the two baskets) a little disgusted, paid the $42+tip and moved on, safe in the knowledge that we wouldn't ever eat there again.

Nice casual dining with indoor and outdoor seating. The hushpuppies and baked potato salad were very good. We also had fried shrimp, grilled shrimp, and fried oysters. Yum!
